A hair transplant is not a one-day event but a process lasting about a year. Knowing the timeline helps you stay calm during the challenging first months.
Before the procedure
- Hair analysis: photos are used to assess the donor area, hair loss pattern and graft requirement.
- Treatment plan: method (FUE, Sapphire FUE, DHI), hairline and date are agreed.
- Preparation: following medical advice, certain medications, alcohol and nicotine are paused beforehand.
Your stay in Istanbul (approx. 3 days)
- Day 1: arrival, transfer, medical consultation, blood tests if needed.
- Day 2: procedure under local anaesthesia – usually 6 to 8 hours.
- Day 3: check-up, first hair wash, aftercare instructions, departure.
The timeline afterwards
